Park'r

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

Overview

Park'r (“we”, “our”) helps people see parking availability and log when they park or leave. This policy explains what information the Park'r website and iOS app collect and how it is used.

Information we collect

  • Parking activity. When you park or leave, we store the lot, floor (if selected), time, and an anonymous device identifier so occupancy counts stay accurate.
  • Device identifier. The app creates a random ID stored on your device. It is not tied to your name, email, or Apple ID.
  • Location. With your permission, the iOS app uses location to remind you to log parking when you approach a supported garage. Background (“Always”) location is only used for that proximity reminder.
  • Camera. With your permission, the camera is used only to scan parking QR codes. Images are not uploaded or stored.
  • Local preferences. Things like your saved spot note or recent session may be stored on your device (and, where needed for Live Activities, in an App Group on the same device).

How we use information

  • Show real-time parking availability
  • Record park and leave events so counts stay correct
  • Power Live Activities / lock-screen updates on your device
  • Send optional proximity reminders when you arrive near a garage
  • Operate and improve the service

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Parking occupancy data is shown in the app and website so others can see how full a lot is. We use infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database services) to run Park'r; they process data only to provide those services.

Data retention

Parking events are kept as needed to maintain occupancy history and operate the product. You can clear local app data by deleting the app. Location and camera access can be turned off anytime in iOS Settings.

Children

Park'r is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
